I woke up this morning to see that to my surprise, Taylor Swift had announced her new album, Evermore, was dropping at midnight.
I was shocked, and so was all of Twitter. I hadn't even had time to fully absorb and memorize her last album since Folklore came out in July.

Folklore was a poetic, serene, folk-inspired dream. The songs diverged from Swift's usual self-centric writing, instead writing from the perspective of fictional characters she created. The tracks Betty, August, and Cardigan all tell the same love story from three different perspectives, which is such a fresh and exciting idea.
On the other hand, tracks like Invisible String, Peace, and Hoax are more introspective, but the beautiful word choice over simplistic acoustic/piano driven tracks make them magical to listen to.
Folklore was an incredible album, that excited me and inspired me as a writer. I can't wait to listen to Evermore right when it drops at midnight, and dive into analyzing some of its songs with you guys next week.
